    SEE ALSO...

CD1B Antibody (M-T101) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD1B protein of human origin by immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). Anti-CD1B antibody (M-T101) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD1B plays a crucial role in the immune system by presenting lipid antigens to T lymphocytes, essential for activating specific immune responses. CD1B protein is part of the CD1 multigene family, including CD1A, CD1C, CD1D, and CD1E, all structurally similar to major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class I molecules. CD1B (M-T101) antibody recognizes CD1B expressed on cortical thymocytes, Langerhans cells, a subset of B cells, and certain dendritic cells, highlighting CD1B′s importance in immune cell interactions. Adaptor-protein complexes and CD1-associated chaperones regulate CD1B trafficking, vital for CD1-restricted T cell development and activation. Constitutive endocytosis of CD1B and differential sorting of MHC class II from lysosomes during dendritic cell maturation ensure effective separation of peptide and lipid antigen-presenting pathways. Human CD1 genes are linked in a cluster at chromosome 1q 22-23, emphasizing their evolutionary relationship and functional importance in the immune system.
