CD19 Antibody (PDR134) is a mouse monoclonal IgM kappa light chain antibody that detects CD19 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD19 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a significant role in B-cell development and function, as CD19 is selectively expressed on the surface of B-lymphocytes. CD19 contains two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, which are essential for interaction with other proteins and for initiating intracellular signaling cascades. Notably, CD19 is involved in activating pathways such as Ras and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase, which are vital for B-cell activation and proliferation. CD19′s importance extends to forming functional complexes with other B-lymphocyte surface proteins, including integrin β1, CD21, and CD81, which collectively regulate B-cell development and enhance the immune response. CD19′s expression is maintained throughout B-cell maturation and persists even during the terminal differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells, underscoring CD19′s critical role in the adaptive immune system.
