SEE ALSO...

CD19 Antibody (HIB19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD19 protein of human origin by immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD19 (HIB19) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD19 is a crucial transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a significant role in B-cell development and function, as CD19 is selectively expressed on the surface of B-lymphocytes. CD19 contains two extracellular immunoglobulin-like domains, which are essential for interaction with other surface proteins and for initiating intracellular signaling cascades. CD19 activation leads to the cross-linking of immunoglobulin chains and the recruitment of Src family protein tyrosine kinases, which are vital for the propagation of signals that promote B-cell activation and proliferation. CD19 forms functional complexes with other B-lymphocyte surface proteins, such as integrin β1, CD21, and CD81, which are integral to regulating B-cell development and ensuring a robust immune response. CD19 continuous expression throughout B-cell maturation and involvement in the terminal differentiation of B-cells into plasma cells underscore CD19′s importance in both adaptive immunity and potential therapeutic targeting in B-cell malignancies.
