SEE ALSO...

CD164 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CD164 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD164 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD164 is a mucin-like cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the adhesion of CD34+ cells, acting as a negative regulator of hematopoietic progenitor cell proliferation, which is vital for maintaining proper blood cell development and function. Notably, human CD164 is localized primarily in endosomes and lysosomes within CD34(+)CD38(+) hematopoietic progenitor and epithelial cell lines, with lower concentrations found at the cell surface. This localization suggests a role in intracellular signaling and trafficking, impacting how these cells respond to their environment and regulate hematopoiesis.
