CD161 Antibody (HP-3G10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD161 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB) and flow cytometry (FCM). CD161, also known as the natural killer cell receptor, plays a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the activation of natural killer (NK) cells and a subset of CD8+ T cells, which are essential for targeting and eliminating infected or malignant cells. CD161 expression on immune cells indicates cytotoxic potential, particularly in conditions such as psoriasis, where CD161 expression is upregulated. This upregulation is notably influenced by interleukin-12 (IL-12), a cytokine that enhances CD161 transcription and surface expression, thereby promoting the proliferation and activation of cytotoxic effector T cells. Understanding CD161 function is vital, as CD161 not only serves as a marker for NK cells but also provides insights into the mechanisms of immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets in various diseases. Anti-CD161 antibody (HP-3G10) is an invaluable tool for researchers investigating the dynamics of immune cell activation and the underlying pathways involved in immune responses.
