CD155 Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD155 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CD155 antibody (B-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD155, a crucial member of the immunoglobulin superfamily, serves as the primary receptor for poliovirus, facilitating viral entry into host cells. CD155 is located on the surface of various cell types, including neurons and immune cells, playing a vital role in mediating immune responses and viral pathogenesis. The interaction of poliovirus with CD155 is essential for viral infection, as all three serotypes of poliovirus—PV1, PV2, and PV3—bind to CD155 through a common mechanism, regardless of glycosylation state. CD155 is involved in cell-matrix interactions by binding to the matrix protein vitronectin, which is important for cellular adhesion and signaling. Three soluble isoforms of CD155—alpha, beta, and gamma—are present in human serum and cerebrospinal fluid, with mRNA highly expressed in liver tissue. These soluble isoforms inhibit poliovirus entry mediated by the membrane-bound receptor, highlighting their potential regulatory role in viral infections and immune modulation.
