CD13 Antibody (SJ1D1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CD13 in human samples through immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and flow cytometry (FCM). CD13, also known as aminopeptidase N, is a type II transmembrane glycoprotein predominantly expressed on myeloid cells, including monocytes, basophils, eosinophils, neutrophils, and various myeloid leukemias, as well as on certain epithelial cells, fibroblasts, and osteoclasts. CD13 functions as a zinc-binding metalloprotease, playing a crucial role in the digestion of peptides and the inactivation of regulatory peptides like enkephalins, which are important for pain modulation and stress response.
