SEE ALSO...

CD109 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD109 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD109 (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD109 is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol (GPI)-anchored cell surface glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in cell signaling and immune response regulation. CD109 expression is particularly notable in CD34+ acute myeloid leukemia cell lines, activated T lymphoblasts, activated platelets, T cell lines, endothelial cells, and various cancers, including lung and esophageal squamous cell carcinomas, as well as testicular tissues. CD109 presence is significant as CD109 is associated with the platelet-specific Gov antigen system, which has implications in platelet transfusion refractoriness, neonatal alloimmune thrombocytopenia, and post-transfusion purpura. Understanding CD109 function is essential, as CD109 is implicated in tumor progression and immune evasion, making CD109 a potential target for therapeutic interventions in cancer treatment.
