SEE ALSO...

CD-MPR Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CD-MPR of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD-MPR (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CD-MPR, or cation-dependent mannose-6-phosphate receptor, is an oligomeric transmembrane protein essential for intracellular transport of phosphorylated lysosomal enzymes from trans-Golgi network to lysosomes, ensuring proper cellular function and enzyme activity. CD-MPR′s unique structure includes a 67 amino acid cytoplasmic tail containing sorting signals crucial for preventing degradation in lysosomes, thereby maintaining availability for enzyme delivery. CD-MPR is predominantly expressed in mouse testicular germ cells and exhibits differentiated expression during rat spermatozoa maturation. Notably, increased expression of CD-MPR has been observed in Alzheimer′s disease, and CD-MPR′s gene is located adjacent to a chromosomal region potentially linked to the disease, suggesting a significant role in neurodegenerative processes.
