    SEE ALSO...

CCDC98 Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CCDC98 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCDC98 Antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Coiled-coil domain-containing protein 98 (CCDC98), also known as FAM175A and ABRA1, is a 409 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in DNA repair by interacting with breast cancer-1 (BRCA1). This interaction is vital as BRCA1 is essential for cellular response to DNA damage, particularly in regulating cell cycle checkpoints during S phase and G2/M transition. CCDC98 acts upstream of BRCA1, modulating BRCA1 activity in a phosphorylation-dependent manner, which is critical for forming BRCA1 foci in response to ionizing radiation. Proper functioning of CCDC98 is therefore important not only for maintaining genomic stability but also for understanding mechanisms underlying breast cancer, making anti-CCDC98 antibody (A-3) an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA repair pathways and cancer biology.
