CCDC36 Antibody (B-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CCDC36 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCDC36 (B-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCDC36, also known as coiled-coil domain-containing protein 36 or cancer/testis antigen 74, is a 584 amino acid protein characterized by the presence of coiled-coil domains, which are crucial for mediating protein-protein interactions. These interactions are essential for various cellular processes, including the regulation of gene expression and the assembly of protein complexes involved in cellular signaling pathways. The gene encoding CCDC36 is located on human chromosome 3, a region that is significant not only for its high gene density but also for its association with several genetic disorders and cancer-related genes. Notably, chromosome 3 harbors key tumor suppressor genes, such as RASSF1, which plays a role in apoptosis, and SEMA3B, which is involved in angiogenesis regulation. Understanding the function and interactions of CCDC36 is vital, as it may provide insights into its role in cancer biology and potential therapeutic targets.
