CCDC33 Antibody (F-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects CCDC33 in human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCDC33, also known as CT61 (cancer/testis antigen 61), is a 958 amino acid protein predominantly expressed in male germ cells and plays a crucial role in spermatogenesis. CCDC33 is characterized by the presence of a coiled-coil domain, which is essential for mediating protein-protein interactions and is involved in various biological processes such as gene expression regulation and membrane fusion. The structural integrity provided by the coiled-coil motif is vital for proper CCDC33 functioning, as this feature facilitates the assembly of protein complexes necessary for sperm cell development. CCDC33 exists in at least four alternatively spliced isoforms, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within the germline.
