    SEE ALSO...

CCDC116 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CCDC116 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CCDC116 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CCDC116, also known as coiled-coil domain containing 116, is a 515 amino acid protein that exists in two alternatively spliced isoforms and is encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 22q11.21. CCDC116 plays a crucial role in cellular processes, including gene expression regulation and cellular signaling pathways, which are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to environmental stimuli. Notably, CCDC116 has been shown to be induced by curcumin, a compound with potential anti-inflammatory properties, suggesting a protective role in conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease and ulcerative colitis. CCDC116′s significance extends beyond basic functions, as expression alterations have been linked to various genetic disorders associated with chromosome 22, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 2, highlighting importance in both health and disease.
