SEE ALSO...

CC10 Antibody (E-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CC10 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CC10 (E-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Clara cell 10 (CC10), also known as secretoglobin family 1A member 1, functions as a phospholipase A2 inhibitor, which is crucial for regulating inflammatory responses in the lungs. By inhibiting phospholipase A2, CC10 plays a significant role in modulating inflammatory mediator production, thereby contributing to airway homeostasis maintenance and potentially influencing conditions such as asthma. CC10 is expressed in nonciliated airway epithelial cells and is regulated by various transcription factors, including AP-1 and hepatocyte nuclear factor-3, with expression levels fluctuating in relation to the ovarian menstrual cycle and being influenced by progesterone in the human endometrium. Notably, CC10 overexpression in the non-small cell lung cancer cell line A549 has been associated with a marked reduction in matrix metalloproteinases MMP-2 and MMP-9, suggesting that CC10 loss may facilitate carcinogenesis by enhancing invasive properties of cancer cells.

For mouse lung flow Cytometry, permeabilization is required before staining?

Asked by: mghktg
Thank you for your question. CC10 is a secreted protein, and permeabilization may be necessary. You can find our recommended Flow cytometry protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

Have you checked whether this antibody (anti-CC10 antibody (E-11): sc-365992) works well with mouse lung tissue IF or IHC?

Asked by: Hiroki KIMURA
Thank you for your question. This antibody has been tested by IHC in human samples, but we do not have published data in mouse samples. We do warranty it for IF on mouse samples as it is a mouse reactive antibody! Please contact our Technical Service Department by phone, e-mail or live chat if you have any further questions.

Can CC10 (E-11): sc-365992 be frozen?

Asked by: jenniferc
No. The antibody solution contains gelatin. When the gelatin is frozen the antibody precipitates out of solution. However, if an antibody’s datasheet says that the antibody should be stored frozen, then the antibody can be frozen, as these antibodies do not contain gelatin.
