SEE ALSO...

Cbp Antibody (G-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Cbp protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cbp (G-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cbp, also known as Csk-binding protein or phosphoprotein associated with glycosphingolipid-enriched microdomains, plays a crucial role in regulating Src family protein tyrosine kinases (Src-PTKs), which are vital for growth and differentiation of eukaryotic cells. Cbp is primarily localized in GM1 ganglioside-enriched detergent-insoluble membrane domain of plasma membrane, a location essential for effective receptor-mediated signaling. By anchoring Csk to membrane, Cbp facilitates c-Src inhibition, contributing to regulatory mechanisms that control membrane-associated Src-PTKs activity. This interaction helps maintain cellular homeostasis and prevents uncontrolled cell proliferation, making Cbp a key player in various signaling pathways.
