Cbl-b Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects the Cbl-b protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cbl-b monoclonal antibody (G-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The Cbl-b protein, also known as RING finger protein 56, plays a crucial role in regulating signal transduction pathways by functioning as an E3 ubiquitin ligase, which is essential for the ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of target proteins. This regulation is particularly important in maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing uncontrolled cell proliferation, which can lead to cancer. Cbl-b is expressed in a variety of tissues, including normal and malignant mammary epithelial cells, as well as hematopoietic tissues, highlighting its significance in both normal physiology and disease states. The protein contains a proline-rich domain, a nuclear localization signal, a C3HC4 zinc finger, and a putative leucine zipper, which are critical for its interactions with other signaling proteins. Notably, the Cbl-b gene is located in a region of human chromosome 11 that is frequently involved in translocations and deletions associated with various leukemias, underscoring the importance of Cbl-b in cancer biology.
