SEE ALSO...

cathepsin Z Antibody (F-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects cathepsin Z of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cathepsin Z antibody (F-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cathepsin Z, also known as cathepsin X or P, is a cysteine protease that exhibits both carboxy-dipeptidase and carboxy-monopeptidase activities, playing a crucial role in normal intracellular protein degradation. Cathepsin Z is widely expressed across various tissues, and cathepsin Z involvement in tumor progression highlights its significance in cancer biology. Anti-cathepsin Z antibody (F-6) participates in the degradation of extracellular matrix components and modulates cellular signaling pathways, underscoring its importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and influencing pathological processes. Understanding cathepsin Z function is essential for elucidating its potential as a therapeutic target in diseases characterized by dysregulated proteolytic activity.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376976 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
