CARP-1 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CARP-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CARP-1 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CARP-1, also known as cell division cycle and apoptosis regulator 1 or CCAR1, is a 1,150 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in regulating apoptotic signaling and cell cycle progression, particularly through interactions with key proteins such as c-Myc and cyclin B1. CARP-1 is predominantly localized to the perinuclear region of the cytoplasm, which facilitates involvement in critical cellular processes, including gene expression regulation and response to DNA damage. CARP-1 undergoes phosphorylation in response to DNA damage, likely mediated by ATM or ATR kinases, highlighting a role in cellular stress responses. CARP-1 is encoded on human chromosome 10, a region associated with various genetic disorders, underscoring importance in both normal cellular function and disease pathology.
