CARD 9 Antibody (A-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CARD 9 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CARD 9 (A-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CARD 9 plays a crucial role in the immune response, particularly in signaling pathways activated by the Dectin-1 receptor, which is essential for recognizing fungal components like zymosan. This receptor-mediated signaling leads to myeloid cell activation, cytokine production, and initiation of innate anti-fungal immunity, highlighting CARD 9′s importance in host defense against fungal infections. CARD 9 can self-associate and contains coiled-coil motifs that may serve as oligomerization domains, which are vital for forming signaling complexes. CARD 9′s interaction with Bcl10 regulates zymosan-induced activation of NFκB, a key transcription factor in immune responses. Notably, CARD 9 overexpression has been linked to gastric B-cell lymphoma development, underscoring CARD 9′s relevance in both immunology and cancer research.
