Carbonyl reductase 3 Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Carbonyl reductase 3 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Carbonyl reductase 3 antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Carbonyl reductase 3 plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the NADPH-dependent reduction of carbonyl compounds, which are often products of lipid peroxidation, to corresponding alcohols. This enzymatic activity maintains cellular homeostasis and detoxifies harmful metabolites, influencing various physiological processes. Carbonyl reductase 3 interacts with other proteins involved in metabolic pathways, including Carbonyl reductase 1, sharing significant sequence similarity and functional overlap. Genetic variations in genes encoding these reductases can lead to differences in drug metabolism among individuals, highlighting Carbonyl reductase 3′s importance in pharmacogenomics and potential implications in cancer and diabetes.
