Datasheets
  • CapZ-β Antibody (52) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ CapZ-β antibody, cited in 3 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 162-267 of CapZ-β of human origin
  • recommended for detection of CapZ-β isoforms 1 and 2 of mouse, rat, human, canine and avian origin by WB and IP
  • available conjugated to agarose for IP; and to HRP for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG1 BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for CapZ-β Antibody (52) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with CapZ-β Antibody (52) (see ordering information below).

SEE ALSO...

CapZ-β Antibody (52) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CapZ-beta protein in mouse, rat, human, canine, and avian species by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-CapZ-β antibody (52) is available in non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose and horseradish peroxidase (HRP). CapZ-β protein, also known as capping protein (Actin filament) muscle Z-line, beta, plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics within cells. CapZ-β protein forms a heterodimeric complex with α subunits, which caps barbed ends of actin filaments, preventing addition or loss of actin monomers. This regulation maintains cytoskeletal structural integrity and facilitates cellular processes like motility, division, and intracellular transport. Through control of actin filament growth, CapZ-β protein enables cells to respond to mechanical and biochemical signals, making CapZ-β protein essential for muscle contraction and other actin-dependent functions.

Are there any issues with using sc-136502: CapZ-β (52) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-136502 conjugates.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good antibodyI got a free aliquot of this antibody to test and found it a good reagent with no aspecific signal. I used it 1:1000 in 0,1% milk in TBSt with overnight incubation at 4°C. Will probably go for a higher dilution.
