SEE ALSO...

CapZ-α1 Antibody (2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CapZ-α1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CapZ-α1 antibody (2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CapZ-α1, also known as F-Actin-capping protein subunit alpha-1, plays a crucial role in regulating actin dynamics by binding to barbed ends of actin filaments, thereby preventing further polymerization and stabilizing filament structure. This function is vital for maintaining cellular architecture and facilitating processes such as cell motility, division, and intracellular transport. Additionally, CapZ-α1 interacts with S-100 β chain, a calcium-binding protein implicated in intermediate filament assembly and associated with neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer′s disease. CapZ-α1′s ability to modulate actin filament growth and involvement in signaling pathways underscores CapZ-α1′s importance in both normal cellular function and disease states, making CapZ-α1 (2) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying cytoskeletal dynamics and related pathologies.

Are there any issues with using sc-130309: CapZ-α1 (2) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-130309 conjugates.
