Caper Antibody (G-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Caper protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Caper (G-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Caper protein, also known as splicing factor HCC1 or hepatocellular carcinoma protein 1, plays a crucial role as a transcriptional coactivator for steroid nuclear receptors such as c-Jun, estrogen receptor alpha, and estrogen receptor beta, which are vital for regulating gene expression in response to hormonal signals. Caper protein is predominantly located in the nucleus, particularly in nuclear speckles, where Caper (G-10) monoclonal antibody can detect pre-mRNA splicing processes, a critical step in gene expression that ensures proper maturation of mRNA before translation into proteins.
