SEE ALSO...

CaMKIIβ Antibody (K-19) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody developed against recombinant human CaMKIIβ. Anti-CaMKIIβ antibody (K-19) exhibits broad species reactivity, effectively recognizing CaMKIIβ from mouse, rat, and human origins across a variety of applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CaMKIIβ, also called CAM2, CAMK2, CAMKB, CaMKIIbeta, and MRD54, is a crucial member of the Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II (CaMKII) family, functions as a serine/threonine kinase that is activated by the binding of calcium and calmodulin, playing an essential role in numerous cellular processes such as the regulation of the cell cycle, synaptic plasticity, and memory formation. Upon activation, CaMKIIβ phosphorylates a wide range of substrates, thereby modulating key signal transduction pathways that are vital for cellular responses to environmental stimuli. In the nervous system, CaMKIIβ is particularly important for maintaining the structural and functional plasticity of synapses, which underlies learning and memory mechanisms. Additionally, CaMKIIβ is involved in controlling the transition of cells through different phases of the cell cycle and influencing gene expression, making CaMKIIβ integral to both normal cellular function and the development of various diseases. CaMKIIβ monoclonal antibody (K-19) enables researchers to accurately study the expression, localization, and functional dynamics of CaMKIIβ in diverse biological contexts, facilitating advancements in understanding neurological functions, signal transduction mechanisms, and the molecular basis of diseases. CaMKIIβ (K-19) antibody is an indispensable tool for investigating the molecular underpinnings of CaMKIIβ-mediated processes, offering reliable and precise detection across multiple experimental platforms.

Can sc-100366: CaMKIIβ (K-19) monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your question. Yes, sc-100366: CaMKIIβ (K-19) is recommended for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
