SEE ALSO...

Calregulin Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Calregulin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calregulin antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Calregulin, also known as calreticulin, is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum, where Calregulin plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis and protein folding. Calregulin contains both low- and high-affinity calcium-binding sites, which are essential for regulating calcium levels within the cell and facilitating proper folding of glycoproteins. This regulation is particularly important as misfolded proteins can lead to cellular stress and contribute to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. Calregulin interacts with numerous proteins, including calnexin, another calcium-binding protein associated with the endoplasmic reticulum membrane. These interactions are vital for glycoprotein maturation, ensuring only properly folded proteins reach their final destinations, maintaining cellular health and function.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very good for WB, but not for IFI got free samples from Santa Cruz several weeks ago, and test this antibody for WB and IF using MDA-231 cells. This antibody only works for WB, but not for IF.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent antibody!I recently tested 2 Calreticulin/Calregulin Sc-373863 and Sc-166837 antibodies in human cell lines and both of them turned equally good. Calregulin gives approximately 55kDa band and expressed widely in human tissues. HEP-G2 is a liver cancer cell line and HEK293 was derived form embryonic kidney carcinoma but the later reported to express neuronal proteins and may be neuronal in origin. Highly recomend this antibody, See my blots.
