Calregulin Antibody (F-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Calregulin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calregulin antibody (F-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Calregulin, also known as calreticulin, is a calcium-binding protein located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum, where Calregulin plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis and protein folding. Calregulin contains both low- and high-affinity calcium-binding sites, which are essential for regulating calcium levels within the cell and facilitating proper folding of glycoproteins. This regulation is particularly important as misfolded proteins can lead to cellular stress and contribute to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders. Calregulin interacts with numerous proteins, including calnexin, another calcium-binding protein associated with the endoplasmic reticulum membrane.
