Calregulin Antibody (1G6A7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a light chain antibody that detects calregulin in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Calregulin, also known as calreticulin, is a calcium-binding protein predominantly located in the lumen of the endoplasmic reticulum, where calregulin plays a crucial role in calcium homeostasis and protein folding. Calregulin′s ability to bind calcium with both low- and high-affinity sites is essential for calregulin′s function in the proper maturation of glycoproteins, as calregulin assists in the folding process and prevents the aggregation of misfolded proteins. This is particularly important in maintaining cellular health and function, as improperly folded proteins can lead to cellular stress and contribute to various diseases. Anti-calregulin antibody (1G6A7) provides reliable detection of calregulin, facilitating research into calregulin′s role in cellular processes and implications in health and disease.
