Calpain Antibody (B-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Calpain protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calpain antibody (B-8) is available as a non-conjugated format. Calpain, a crucial intracellular calcium-dependent protease, plays a significant role in various cellular processes by cleaving cytoskeletal and submembranous proteins, which is essential for maintaining cellular structure and function. Calpain is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is activated by calcium ions, allowing participation in critical processes such as cell fusion, mitosis, and meiosis.
