    SEE ALSO...

Calpain 9 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Calpain 9 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Calpain 9 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Calpain 9, a member of the calpain family, is a calcium-activated cysteine protease that plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as apoptosis, cell migration, and cytoskeletal remodeling. Calpain 9′s localization within the cytoplasm allows for the regulation of various signaling pathways essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. Calpain 9 has been implicated in gastric cancer pathology, where downregulation in gastric cancer cell lines suggests a potential tumor-suppressive function. Calpain 9 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in different tissues. Understanding Calpain 9′s role in these contexts is vital for developing therapeutic strategies targeting related diseases.
