    SEE ALSO...

Calcidiol Antibody (ID1-25B) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Calcidiol, also known as 25-hydroxyvitamin D3 or 25-OH D3, in non-species reactive samples by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Calcidiol antibody (ID1-25B) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying vitamin D metabolism. Calcidiol serves as a crucial prehormone in the body, being the primary circulating form of vitamin D and a precursor to its active metabolite, calcitriol. The conversion of calcidiol to calcitriol occurs primarily in the kidneys, where the enzyme 1α-hydroxylase catalyzes this transformation. This process is vital for maintaining calcium and phosphate homeostasis, as calcitriol enhances the absorption of these minerals in the intestines, promotes their reabsorption in the kidneys, and facilitates bone resorption. Furthermore, calcitriol′s role extends beyond mineral metabolism; calcitriol is also involved in regulating immune responses and cellular differentiation, making calcitriol essential for overall health. Calcidiol monoclonal antibody (ID1-25B) enables researchers to gain insights into the physiological roles of vitamin D and its impact on various biological processes.
