Cactin Antibody (D-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cactin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cactin (D-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cactin, also known as fSAPc, NY-REN-24, or C19orf29, is a 758 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a crucial role in regulating innate immune responses and is involved in early embryonic development and pre-mRNA splicing. Notably, Cactin acts as a negative regulator of Toll-like receptor and interferon-regulatory factor signaling pathways, which are essential for immune response. In response to endogenous pro-inflammatory stimuli, Cactin modulates transcriptional activation of NFκB genes, thereby influencing inflammation and immune regulation. The gene encoding Cactin is located on human chromosome 19p13.3 and mouse chromosome 10 C1, and may be associated with renal-cell carcinoma in patients. Additionally, Cactin exists as two alternatively spliced isoforms, which may have distinct functional roles in cellular processes.
