    SEE ALSO...

CA XIV Antibody (A-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CA XIV protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CA XIV antibody (A-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CA XIV (A-4) antibody recognizes carbonic anhydrase XIV, a transmembrane enzyme that plays a crucial role in regulating pH and bicarbonate levels in tissues, which is vital for numerous physiological processes such as respiration and acid-base balance. CA XIV (A-4) monoclonal antibody targets a protein predominantly located in the brain and involved in cerebrospinal fluid formation, highlighting its importance in maintaining central nervous system homeostasis. CA XIV expression extends to various other tissues, including the kidney, where CA XIV contributes to bicarbonate reabsorption, further emphasizing its role in maintaining acid-base equilibrium. CA XIV′s unique expression pattern, in contrast to other carbonic anhydrases, suggests specialized functions in different tissues, making CA XIV a significant target for research in both normal physiology and disease states.
