C1QBP Antibody (74.5.2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects C1QBP protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and flow cytometry (FCM). C1QBP Antibody (74.5.2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. C1QBP, also known as gC1q-R, p32, or hyaluronan-binding protein 1, plays a crucial role in the immune response by binding to the globular heads of C1q molecules, thereby inhibiting C1 activation and modulating the complement system. C1QBP is primarily located in the cytoplasm and mitochondria of cells, where C1QBP is involved in various cellular processes, including apoptosis and cell signaling. C1QBP presence in vascular endothelial cells highlights C1QBP importance in maintaining vascular integrity and regulating inflammatory responses. Additionally, C1QBP is a subunit of the pre-mRNA splicing factor SF2/ASF, linking C1QBP to the regulation of gene expression. The multifunctional nature of C1QBP, with interactions across complement, coagulation, and kinin systems, underscores C1QBP significance in both innate and adaptive immunity, making anti-C1QBP antibody (74.5.2) an essential tool for researchers studying immune mechanisms and related pathologies.

What is the optimal concentration for flow testing? (Cat #:sc-23885; Batch #: B2120) Mary

Asked by: Mary C
Thank you for your question. We recommend 1 µg normal immunoglobulins per 1 million cells. Here is our recomended protocol:https://www.scbt.com/resources/protocols/flow-cytometry

Can C1QBP (74.5.2): sc-23885 monoclonal antibody be used in IF or IHC with mouse tissue or cells? Will there be non-specific staining?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, C1QBP (74.5.2): sc-23885 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
