SEE ALSO...

c-Rel Antibody (B-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects c-Rel of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). c-Rel Antibody (B-6) is offered in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. c-Rel is a vital component of the nuclear factor kappa-light-chain-enhancer of activated B cells (NFκB) signaling pathway, which is essential for regulating immune responses, cell proliferation, and survival. Through binding to specific κB sites in promoter regions of target genes, c-Rel plays a crucial role in transcriptional activation of immunoglobulin kappa light chain genes, thereby influencing B cell development and function. Proper regulation of c-Rel is important because dysregulation can lead to various immune disorders and contribute to cancer development. In contrast to v-Rel, which lacks a functional C-terminal transactivation domain and disrupts normal NFκB signaling, c-Rel maintains a role as a transcriptional activator, highlighting significance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and immune function.

I have used this c-Rel antibody for WB and I've always gotten nonspecific two bands with 43 kDa and around 20 kDa. I followed the suggested protocol but cannot solve the problem. Any suggestions?

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-6955 X be used instead of the standard form sc-6955?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from doesn't work on WB, IHC, EMSAI normally used sc71 antibody for blots and everything which was working perfectly on mouse tissues and cell lines. To do EMSA I needed the concentrated antibody therefore ordered c-rel B6 antibody. Before we also received a sample antibody of B6 from SC. This antibody absolutely doesn't work neither on western blot, nor IHC and no shift in EMSA! I am not sure what to do, or if the problem is lot number. Sc71 antibody is amazing, unlike this one... I would really appreciate some feedback about it. Thank you
