SEE ALSO...

C-Nap1 Antibody (F-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects C-Nap1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-C-Nap1 antibody (F-7) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. C-Nap1, also known as Centrosomal Nek2-associated protein 1 or CEP2, is a centrosome-associated protein that plays a crucial role in organizing and functioning of centrioles, which are essential for proper cell division and cilia formation. C-Nap1 localizes to the cytoplasm in all human cells, existing as three isoforms and comprising 2,442 amino acids. C-Nap1 facilitates centriole cohesion during interphase, ensuring proper timing for cell division. Phosphorylation of C-Nap1, especially by Nek2 during mitosis, regulates centrosome dissociation, a process critical for accurate chromosome segregation. Reaccumulation of C-Nap1 in centrosomes after cellular division highlights a dynamic role in cell cycle regulation. C-Nap1 antibodies present in certain autoimmune diseases suggest involvement in disease pathogenesis, making C-Nap1 a significant target for research in both cell biology and immunology.
