C/EBP β Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects C/EBP β in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). C/EBP β is a crucial transcription factor belonging to the CCAAT-enhancer binding protein family, playing a significant role in the differentiation of various cell types, including liver, adipose tissue, blood cells, and the endocrine pancreas. C/EBP β (A-7) antibody recognizes a protein particularly important due to its involvement in the regulation of the acute phase response in hepatocytes, a critical process for the body′s response to inflammation and injury. C/EBP β exists in several isoforms, which arise from alternative translational initiation at multiple AUG start sites, leading to variations in transcription activation domains. Anti-C/EBP β antibody (A-7) targets a protein whose functionality is heavily influenced by post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which is essential for DNA binding capability.
