BXDC2 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BXDC2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BXDC2 (C-1) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BXDC2, or Brix domain-containing protein 2, is a crucial 306 amino acid nuclear protein encoded by the human gene BXDC2, which plays a significant role in ribosome biogenesis. Specifically, BXDC2 contains a Brix domain, a structural motif that is homologous to the yeast protein Pitx1, which is part of a complex essential for the formation of the 60S ribosomal subunit. This complex also includes BXDC5, BXDC1, and PPAN, highlighting the collaborative nature of ribosomal assembly. Proper functioning of BXDC2 is vital for maintaining cellular protein synthesis, as disruptions in ribosome biogenesis can lead to various diseases, including cancer and genetic disorders. Using anti-BXDC2 antibody (C-1) in research can provide insights into the mechanisms of ribosome assembly and the potential implications of BXDC2 in health and disease.
