SEE ALSO...

Btk Antibody (7F12H4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Btk in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. Anti-Btk antibody (7F12H4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Btk, a member of the Tec family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in B cell development and signaling. Btk is primarily located in the cytoplasm and translocates to the plasma membrane upon activation, which is essential for mediating signals from the B cell receptor. This localization enables Btk to interact with other signaling molecules, facilitating downstream activation of pathways that lead to B cell proliferation and differentiation. Mutations in the Btk gene are linked to X-linked agammaglobulinemia, a condition that severely impairs the immune response, highlighting Btk′s significance in maintaining immune system integrity. Btk shares structural similarities with other Tec family members, such as Bmx, which is predominantly expressed in the heart, and Txk, which is specific to T cells, underscoring the diverse roles of Tec kinases in various cell types.

What are the exact conditions used to obtain the Western blot data shown on your website for this Btk antibody?

Asked by: TinTin
Great question! We used this primary antibody at a dilution of 1:200 and incubated for one hour at room temperature in Blotto (sc-2333). The complete recommended protocol for Western blotting is provided below. https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
