    SEE ALSO...

BTBD2 Antibody (H-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BTBD2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BTBD2 (H-2) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BTBD2 protein, also known as BTB/POZ domain-containing protein 2, consists of 525 amino acids and features a single BTB/POZ domain, which is crucial for mediating both homomeric and heteromeric interactions among proteins that contain this domain. This structural characteristic enables BTBD2 to participate in forming transcriptional regulatory complexes, particularly those involved in chromatin remodeling. The BTB/POZ domain interacts with the SMRT/N-CoR-mSin3A histone deacetylase complex, playing a vital role in repressing and silencing gene transcription. Deletion of the BTB/POZ domain can lead to transcriptional repression loss, as seen in the oncogenic PLZF-RAR chimera associated with promyelocytic leukemias. BTBD2 is expressed in two isoforms due to alternative splicing and interacts with other proteins such as Topoisomerase I and Trim5δ, highlighting potential involvement in various cellular processes.

What blocking solution should I use with BTBD2 (H-2): sc-393927 monoclonal antibody for Western blot?

    Asked by: jenniferc
Thank you for your question. We recommend blocking with Blotto (either TBS Blotto A: sc-2333 or TBS Blotto B: sc-2335). Our Western blot protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
