BSPII Antibody (LFMb-25) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BSPII in mouse, rat, human, monkey, and bovine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. anti-BSPII antibody (LFMb-25) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BSPII, also known as bone sialoprotein II, integrin-binding sialoprotein, or BSP, is a secreted acidic glycoprotein synthesized by osteoblasts, osteocytes, osteoclasts, and hypertrophic chondrocytes, playing a crucial role in bone matrix structure. BSPII (LFMb-25) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein essential for nucleating hydroxyapatite crystal formation, which drives initial mineralization of bone, cementum, and dentin. BSPII belongs to the SIBLING family of proteins and contains an RGD sequence that interacts with the vitronectin receptor Integrin αV, facilitating cell attachment and influencing bone remodeling processes. BSPII expression appears in various cancers, including lung, thyroid, breast, and prostate cancers, highlighting its potential as a biomarker for tumor progression and a target for therapeutic interventions.
