BRUNOL4 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BRUNOL4 protein of mouse and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRUNOL4 Antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BRUNOL4, also known as CELF4, plays a crucial role in regulating pre-mRNA alternative splicing, which is essential for generating protein diversity and regulating gene expression in a tissue-specific manner. BRUNOL4 is involved in including exon 5 in cardiac isoforms of Troponin T-C during the critical transition from juvenile to adult heart remodeling, as well as in excluding smooth muscle and non-muscle exons in actinin pre-mRNAs. BRUNOL4 contains three RNA recognition motif (RRM) domains that facilitate binding to muscle-specific splicing enhancer intronic sites, thereby influencing splicing decisions. BRUNOL4 is predominantly expressed in the cerebellum, hippocampus, amygdala, and various regions of the cortex, highlighting its importance in neural function. Disruption of BRUNOL4 has been linked to idiopathic epilepsy, a prevalent neurological disorder characterized by recurrent seizures, underscoring BRUNOL4′s significance in both cardiac and neural contexts.
