BRIDGE-1 Antibody (ZZ07) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BRIDGE-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BRIDGE-1 antibody (ZZ07) is available as the non-conjugated format. BRIDGE-1 protein plays a crucial role in regulating insulin and other islet genes within the pancreas, making BRIDGE-1 essential for maintaining glucose homeostasis. BRIDGE-1 protein is predominantly localized in the nucleus of pancreatic beta cells, where BRIDGE-1 is involved in transcriptional regulation of insulin gene expression. BRIDGE-1 in the nucleus interacts with various transcription factors and coactivators, such as E2A, CBP, and p300, facilitating transcriptional activation of insulin and other critical genes. BRIDGE-1 contains a conserved PDZ-like domain that mediates protein-protein interactions, which are vital for intracellular signaling processes. BRIDGE-1′s interaction with members of the E2A family of transcription factors, such as E12 and E47, suggests a novel mechanism for insulin gene expression regulation, highlighting BRIDGE-1′s importance in pancreatic function and metabolic regulation.
