BRIDGE-1 Antibody (D-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects BRIDGE-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BRIDGE-1 is a crucial protein that plays a significant role in regulating insulin and other islet genes within the pancreas, making BRIDGE-1 vital for maintaining glucose homeostasis. BRIDGE-1 is predominantly localized in the nucleus of pancreatic β-cells, where BRIDGE-1 is involved in the transcriptional regulation of insulin gene expression. BRIDGE-1′s presence in the nucleus allows interaction with various transcription factors and coactivators, such as CBP and p300, facilitating gene transcription activation. BRIDGE-1 contains a conserved PDZ-like domain essential for mediating protein-protein interactions, which are critical for intracellular signaling processes. BRIDGE-1′s interaction with members of the E2A family of transcription factors, specifically E12 and E47, suggests a novel mechanism for insulin gene expression regulation, highlighting BRIDGE-1′s importance in pancreatic function and metabolic regulation. Available in both non-conjugated and multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and various Alexa Fluor® conjugates, BRIDGE-1 (D-4) antibody is a versatile tool for researchers studying insulin regulation and pancreatic β-cell biology.

Can BRIDGE-1 (D-4): sc-376363 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. Yes, BRIDGE-1 (D-4): sc-376363 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
