    BPTF Antibody (2343C3a) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects BPTF protein of human origin by western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). Anti-BPTF antibody (2343C3a) is available as a non-conjugated format. BPTF, also known as nucleosome-remodeling factor subunit BPTF, is a crucial 2,907 amino acid protein encoded by human gene BPTF. BPTF (2343C3a) antibody recognizes a key component of NURF (nucleosome-remodeling factor) complex, which includes SMARCA1, RbAp46, and RbAp48. This complex enables ATP-dependent nucleosome sliding, which facilitates chromatin transcription. BPTF specifically recognizes trimethylated histone H3 tails on lysine 4 (H3-K4Me3), a modification marking transcription start sites of nearly all active genes, highlighting BPTF′s importance in gene expression regulation. BPTF may influence transcription through direct interactions with DNA or transcription factors, making BPTF a vital player in gene regulation networks.

    Hello, I would like to know why the observed size in the membrane (40K) is so different from the molecular size of the protein (325kDa). Have you tested this antibody in other cell line models? If so, is this observed signal reproducible among them? Thx

    Thank you for your question. The Western blot data currently available on our website for this antibody, BPTF (2343C3a): sc-81088 is not representative of the endogenous molecular weight of BPTF. The Western Blot data is of human recombinant BPTF fusion protein, and thus the fusion protein tag increases the observed molecular weight. We do not have any published Western blot data in cell lines yet with this antibody.

    I am using BPTF (2343C3a): sc-81088 antibody for immunoprecipitation, how much antibody should I use?

    Thank you for your question. We recommend using 1–10 µl (i.e., 0.2–2 µg) of antibody with 1 ml of cell lysate. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration.
