SEE ALSO...

Bmx Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Bmx protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Bmx (C-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Bmx protein, a member of the Tec family of non-receptor tyrosine kinases, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways that regulate cell growth, differentiation, and survival, particularly in hematopoietic cells. Bmx expression is notably high in the heart, where Bmx is involved in cardiomyocyte function and response to stress, making Bmx essential for maintaining cardiovascular health. Bmx protein is structurally characterized by the presence of SH3 and SH2 domains, which facilitate protein-protein interactions, and a Pleckstrin homology domain that aids in membrane localization. Understanding Bmx function and regulation is vital, as dysregulation of this kinase has been implicated in various diseases, including cancer and cardiovascular disorders.

Hi SC, what is the recommended dilution of sc-376686 for flow cytometry?

Asked by: Flow_BMX
Thank you for your question. We recommend using Alexa Fluor® 488, Alexa Fluor® 546, Alexa Fluor® 594 or Alexa Fluor® 647 direct conjugate of Bmx Antibody (C-4): sc-376686 for immunofluorescence. The recommended amount of antibody is 1 µg of antibody per 1x10^6 cells.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-376686 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than H-220I used 0.2ug/ml dilution in BSA. The antibody worked great! This antibody does not detect all the isoforms of Etk/BMX. Produced clean bands without detectable background!
Date published: 2016-11-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly potent and specific antibodyThis monoclonal antibody was independently tested in-house by Kinexus Bioinformatics Corporation and validated for use for Western blotting. There was extremely strong detection of the ~85 kDa target protein in mouse tissues (brain/testes/thymus/muscle mix). No major cross-reactivities were observed at 2 µg/ml antibody concentration with off-target proteins in the mouse tissues tested when a high dilution of the antibody was used.
