Datasheets
  • BMP-9 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 71-149 mapping within an internal region of BMP-9 of mouse origin
  • recommended for detection of BMP-9 of mouse, rat and human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgG Fc BP-HRP, m-IgG2a BP-HRP and m-IgGκ BP-HRP are the preferred secondary detection reagents for BMP-9 Antibody (E-2) for WB applications. These reagents are now offered in bundles with BMP-9 Antibody (E-2) (see ordering information below).

    SEE ALSO...

BMP-9 Antibody (E-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects bone morphogenic protein-9 (BMP-9) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BMP-9 is a crucial member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-beta) superfamily, primarily involved in tissue morphogenesis, particularly in the development of bone and connective tissues. BMP-9 monoclonal antibody (E-2) recognizes specific receptors on liver cells, such as HepG2, where BMP-9 stimulates cell proliferation and plays a vital role in regulating blood glucose levels—an effect distinct from TGF-beta. Anti-BMP-9 antibody (E-2) has helped researchers demonstrate that BMP-9 administration or BMP-9 encoding adenoviral vectors can enhance bone regeneration in ex vivo settings and in immune-deficient animal models. This multifaceted functionality of BMP-9 underscores its potential as a target for therapeutic interventions in bone-related disorders and metabolic diseases, making anti-BMP-9 antibody (E-2) an invaluable tool for researchers exploring these critical biological processes.
