SEE ALSO...

BMP-7 Antibody (4E7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects BMP-7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-BMP-7 antibody (4E7) is available as a non-conjugated format. Bone morphogenic proteins (BMPs) are critical members of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFβ) superfamily, playing essential roles in regulating bone and cartilage formation. BMP-7 promotes osteogenesis and chondrogenesis, making BMP-7 vital for skeletal development and repair. BMP-7 is primarily located in the extracellular matrix and secreted by various cell types, including osteoblasts and chondrocytes, which underscores BMP-7′s importance in signaling pathways that govern bone and cartilage homeostasis. BMP-7 has been shown to interact with specific receptors, such as activin-like kinase (ALK) receptors, which are crucial for initiating downstream signaling cascades that lead to cellular differentiation and tissue regeneration. BMP-7′s ability to modulate these pathways highlights potential therapeutic applications in treating bone-related disorders and injuries.
