β Tubulin Antibody (2-28-33) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect β Tubulin, also known as tubulin beta chain, across a wide range of species including mammalian, zebrafish, Drosophila, and Xenopus. β Tubulin monoclonal antibody (2-28-33) is raised against Sarkosyl-resistant ribbons from Strongylocentrotus purpuratus (Sea Urchin) sperm axonemes, ensuring strong and reliable binding in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry. β Tubulin is a critical component of the cytoskeleton, primarily located in the cytoplasm where β Tubulin polymerizes with α Tubulin to form microtubules, essential for maintaining cell shape, enabling intracellular transport, and facilitating proper cell division. The precise localization of β Tubulin within the cell is vital for processes such as mitosis and intracellular trafficking, making β Tubulin a key target for research in cell biology, neurobiology, and cancer studies. Additionally, β Tubulin exists in several isoforms, including β1, β2, β3, β4, β5, β6, and β8, each exhibiting distinct cellular distributions and functions, such as the neuron-specific β3 isoform which plays a crucial role in neuronal development and function. Understanding the diverse localization and roles of β Tubulin isoforms helps elucidate mechanisms underlying cellular organization and disease pathology. β Tubulin (2-28-33) antibody is available in both non-conjugated forms and various conjugated forms, including horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates, providing versatility for diverse experimental needs.
