Datasheets
  • beta Synuclein Antibody (8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 κ, cited in 6 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • raised against amino acids 107-118 of β-synuclein of rat origin
  • recommended for detection of β-synuclein of mouse, rat and human origin by WB and IP
  • also available conjugated to biotin for WB, IHC(P) and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for beta Synuclein Antibody (8) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with beta Synuclein Antibody (8) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

β-synuclein Antibody (8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects β-synuclein in mouse, rat, and human samples through western blotting (WB) and immunoprecipitation (IP). anti-β-synuclein antibody (8) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. β-synuclein (8) monoclonal antibody plays a crucial role in studying synaptic function and neuronal plasticity, which are essential for proper cognitive and motor functions. Located predominantly in presynaptic terminals, β-synuclein interacts with other synaptic proteins, contributing to the maintenance of synaptic integrity and neurotransmitter release. β-synuclein expression is particularly important in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, as alterations in synuclein levels can disrupt synaptic homeostasis and lead to neuronal dysfunction. β-synuclein has been shown to modulate the aggregation of α-synuclein, a protein closely associated with Parkinson′s disease, suggesting that understanding β-synuclein function could provide insights into therapeutic strategies for synucleinopathies.

Are there any issues with using sc-136452: β-synuclein (8) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-136452 conjugates.
