β-Arrestin-1 Antibody (25-G10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to detect β-Arrestin-1, also known as Arrestin-2, in multiple species including mouse, rat, human, and bovine. β-Arrestin-1 monoclonal antibody (25-G10) is raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to the region surrounding Serine 86 to Threonine 98 of the human β-Arrestin-1 protein, ensuring reliable detection in applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). β-Arrestin-1 is a key member of the arrestin protein family, playing a crucial role in regulating G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) signaling by mediating receptor desensitization and internalization. Structurally, β-Arrestin-1 consists of two distinct domains: the N-terminal domain and the C-terminal domain, which together form a bilobal structure that facilitates interaction with phosphorylated GPCRs and other signaling proteins. This structural arrangement is essential for β-Arrestin-1′s ability to scaffold various signaling complexes, thereby modulating diverse cellular responses such as hormone signaling, neurotransmission, and sensory perception. The precise three-dimensional conformation of β-Arrestin-1 allows effective binding to activated receptors, preventing continuous G protein activation and enabling receptor recycling or degradation. Predominantly expressed in spleen and neuronal tissues, β-Arrestin-1 is integral to maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating responses to extracellular stimuli. Additionally, β-Arrestin-1 interacts with various kinases and adaptor proteins, further highlighting importance in intracellular signaling pathways. Anti-β-Arrestin-1 antibody (25-G10) is recommended for researchers investigating the structural and functional aspects of β-Arrestin-1, facilitating advancements in understanding GPCR regulation and implications in diseases such as cancer, cardiovascular disorders, and neurological conditions.

Are there any issues with using sc-53780: β-Arrestin-1 (25-G10) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-53780 conjugates.
