    SEE ALSO...

BET5 Antibody (B-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects BET5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BET5 (B-4) antibody is available as the non-conjugated form. BET5, also known as TRAPPC1 (Trafficking protein particle complex subunit 1) and MUM2 (Multiple myeloma protein 2), plays a critical role in vesicular transport, essential for proper functioning and survival of eukaryotic cells. BET5 functions as a key component of TRAPP I (transport protein particle I) multi-subunit complex on the Golgi apparatus, facilitating tethering of endoplasmic reticulum-to-Golgi vesicles to target membranes. This tethering process ensures specificity of vesicle transport, preventing misdelivery of cellular cargo. BET5 gene is situated on human chromosome 17, a region encompassing over 2.5% of the human genome and responsible for encoding more than 1,200 genes. Understanding BET5 function and interactions within TRAPP complex remains crucial for elucidating mechanisms underlying intracellular transport and implications in various cellular processes and diseases.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-377024 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
